Clemson Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney Named Bobby Dodd COY
The announcement was made tonight at halftime on ESPN at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl game between Auburn and Virginia. Swinney is the first Clemson football coach to win a National Coach of the Year honor since 1981 when Danny Ford was named National Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association and the Football Writers Association.

Tajh Boyd struggled for 2 and a half quarters, but found a way to rally the team (minus "The Deuce") in the late stages of the game. Catanzaro was able to redeem an earlier missed field goal when he nailed a last second 43 yard field goal to put the game away!

Clemson took care of business and got big days out of QB Tajh Boyd, WR Sammy Watkins, and K Catanzaro. The win came at a high cost though, with Tajh Boyd leaving early in the third quarter with a hip injury.

A tough first few minutes had Clemson fans wondering just how long this season would turn out to be. Two hours later, everyone is reeling as Clemson responded to a 14-0 deficit with 624 yards of total offense and 5 touchdowns! QB Tajh Boyd went off for 386 yards on 30/42 attempts with 4 touchdowns. His targets included WR's Sammy Watkins (10 catches for 155 yards and 2 TDs) and Nuke Hopkins (7 catches for 83 yards and a TD). TE Dwayne Allen also turned in a stellar game with 7 catches for 80 yards including an athletic 6 yard TD.
